Application for an Innovation and Research Award for the European Cystic Fibrosis Society Nursing Special Interest Group

Procedure

All nurses are eligible. Proof of nursing professional status is required.

 

Criteria for Innovation and Research Award

If you have a project or idea to improve care in CF, please submit your abstract below (background, objective, implementation, challenges, expected results and conclusion). Your application will be reviewed by the NSiG committee. The winner will receive a 500 Euro grant and will be invited to present their project or idea for improving CF care in Lisbon during the NSiG day, ahead of the main conference, on 3^rd of June 2026.

 

Please describe your relevant work experience and qualifications under the “Personal Information” section “Other professional qualifications”and submit a short motivational letter supporting your application under "Summary of relevant experiences".

Please submit a short summary or abstract with the following details:

• What is the innovation? – eg: change in the care pathway during pediatric to adult transition; nurse follow-up after Trikafta introduction; developing mental health support… (100 words max)

• What is the goal of your project? (50 words max)

• What steps have you taken or do you plan to take, and how will you implement your idea? (200 words max)

• How has patient care improved / how do you expect it to improve? (200 words max)

• What challenges have you encountered and how have you addressed them? (200 words max)
